Automatically Login Windows XP
Keep in mind automatically logging a user in without a password is a potential security risk!
To change your login settings, click Start > Run (Windows Key+R) and type control userpasswords2, to open User Accounts Dialog Box. Select the user which you want to automatically log-in and unncheck the box next to Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.

After clicking the Apply button, the Automatically Log On dialog box will popup.

Type in the user’s password in both the text boxes, click OK. Next time Windows start-up, the user will automatically log-on.
A second option is to download TweakUI from Microsoft’s PowerToys collection. Expand the Logon options, select Autologon. Check the box next to Log on automatically at system startup. Enter the username and password. Click Apply and OK.
